New to the Kernow Coatings inkjet range, based on similar applications as HydroJet and HydroSol ™, the HydroPrint UVC films deliver all the dimensional stability and colour advantages of polyester, with the added benefit of surface coatings that improve ink adhesion, a real challenge with UVC inkjet printers.
Just like any other products from Kernow Coatings the HydroPrint UVC range is based on tough polyester -based films for better stability and durability. But a distinguishing feature of HydroJet is its ‘Hydro’, water-based coating formulation. It is safer and cleaner for our environment to produce and to dispose of (no solvent contents in the coating and no VOC from the base film, unlike PVC materials).
UVC is becoming a major part of today’s and tomorrow’s way of display printing.
Some may think that our range of products is rather unusual for UVC applications, especially when you think that UVC printers are still mainly printing on thick substrates. But almost all UVC flat bed printers are now available with a roll system, and the print quality is getting exceptionally good.
It’s only recently that our customers are discovering the potential of UVC printing to produce roll-ups, pop-ups and backlit displays.
HydroPrint + UVC = no lamination. UVC inks have a textured finish when dry, just like a textured lamination film which offers great resistance to fingerprints and perfect scratch resistance; the benefits of lamination without the lamination. No lamination also means no tension or constraints between the lamination and the printed film, eliminating any risk of curling between the two. Suitable for most UVC printers on the market.
